When does this go away?

You have multiple accounts showing missed payments or derogatory descriptions.

I'm coming up on ONE YEAR with two baddies....my others are at two years.

Yep, I get the multiple accounts thing too.

FICO is more generous to those who only screwed up one account, or maybe two. If you have lates on more than that, it's considered icky.

The elusive FICO 08 will pay even more attention to that, oh yay.

If you haven't given up on GW letters, you might target the accounts with only one late. I had a closed account on EQ with a 5-year old late fall off early, gee thanks, EQ. I was getting ready to get all irate when I found that my score rose. So now I have three accounts on EQ with lates, but I'm still getting the message.
* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?
FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007

If they are minor lates their effect diminishes greatly at 2 years. All delinquincies lose their effect over time, though major lates put you into an non-clean credit bucket until the lates are removed (naturually or by goodwill letter).
