When in the month CRA's stop hitting for inquiries

When in the month do the various CRA's stop counting inquiries against you in the month? I just got a little bump of 9 points on my TU and I think this may be the reason if they do it on the first of the month. No notice on the other two. I have two inquiries that age to a year this month, on 10/19 and 10/23.

I have not pulled my 3b reports yet this month as I'm saving so not sure if this may be it or not and I probably won't be able to tell if I do as they are still there for another year.

Current 5/28/20:

First Goal Score: 750+ Reached 3/2019

Inquiries count to the day of the inquiries at 1 year, the bump must have come from elsewhere.

Thanks, so perhaps it was from aging of accounts then. I do have two that would pass the 3 months this month, so perhaps that would explain it. Hopefully, there will be one in the other two as that would put me real close to 700 across the board.

Re: When in the month CRA's stop hitting for inquiries

First of month is often related to age, I didn't see changes at 3 months intervals for individual accounts in my experiments, I would look in the directions of the 3 aging factors, AoYA, AAoA and AoOA, possibly crossing over scoring thresholds.

Re: When in the month CRA's stop hitting for inquiries

Ceasing the scoring of inquiries after one year is a function of the FICO scoring algorithm.

The CRAs are not involved in that determination.

The CRAs continue to include inquiries in their credit reports for approx two years.

However, there is no firm date for their removal, as it is only a housekeeping determination by the CRAs, and is not mandated by any law or regulation.  Thye can choose to do their cleanup earlier, or delay past the 2 year norm.

Any DP's on an inquiries effect as it ages? For example with my profile going from 2 to 3 inq's costs 7 points. How many are gained back at the 6 month point? Is it gradual or sudden. "Inquiries have less of an effect after 6 months and no efect on scoring after 1 year"

Re: When in the month CRA's stop hitting for inquiries

From my year long experiment, there were no scoring changes when inquiries hit 6 months, when they hit one year mark to the day, gains were 3-7-7-3-2 for 5 inquiries (within a 3 months period) on Experian, I didn't track my scores with events when the inquiries first hit so I can't say for sure if the losses match gains a year later, but I didn't expect them to be since my profile went from dirty to clean (100+ point gain) during the middle of my app spree last year.

They do not age.

700 -> 693 -> 700 -> 693 -> 700

2 -> 3 -> 2 -> 3 -> 2 inquiries respectively, no other change on the file with the exception of $36->$34 on an 8400 CL revolving tradeline as the only revolving balance.
