I'm considering a possible refi on my car loan with my CU, and after speaking with a loan rep I learned they have just switched to VS 4.0 Experian score. Problem is I want to know mine before doing a HP and seeing the rate result. My 3.0 is coming in at 693 - but I have no idea if that's any kind of indicator of what a 4.0 looks like. I looked at my Experian account, but no option there. I tried Credit.com but that is just a 3.0, and my Care Credit uses Transunion VS.
Does anyone know of a legit source for obtaining my Experian 4.0 VS score with a softpull?

Synchrony is the only place I can think of that offers free VS4.0 scores. Looking around Google I can't even find a place to buy the 4.0 score.
According to Vantage (https://your.vantagescore.com/where-to-go ) the scores will be nearly identical across all Credit Reporting Companies.
If there isn't anything different between TU and EX you should in theory have the same score.
The only Experian Vantage scores that are given are 3.0. Chase Credit Journey comes to mind. Synchrony is the only lender I know that uses the TU 4.0 flavor.
Ok, thanks! So I should be safe using my TU Vantage 4.0 as a guide getting it through Synchrony Care Credit? I don't have any other Synchrony accounts.

If your Experian and TU don't vary greatly, then yes. Remember slight variations like differing inquiries might change scores slightly.
Ok. I checked the Synchrony and it shows VS 704 - so I'll work with assumption that my Experian is close to that. **bleep** countless "scoring" models.
Thanks for all the help!
