I want to send out a few GWs and was wondering where to get the contact info for these companies? Most Cos are old and have been sold a few times. Should I go directly to the original lender or to the CA? I really like this forum and am on my way to a better score.
On your real credit report, or one from truecredit, it will have the address of who you have an account with. CA don't usually do gw's, just so you know. They are slime bags. I would try the OC.
Thanks Meg. These are charge off which were settled for less than the full amount. I just want to get 3 baddies off so I can get my score up. I also have a baddie for $25 form 1999. Im not sure why this isnt gone yet but what can I do about it?
You should dispute the 1999 on all CRA as obsolete, as it has been more than 7 years. Unless it is somehow coded as bankruptcy, those have a ten year thing sometimes.
