Just a friendly compare/contrast thread. Where and how often do you get your reports and scores from and how do you feel about the quality you receive compared to that of other websites?
Sorry if there's already a thread like this.
I get my reports from annualcreditreport and I'll puchase directly from all 3 each quarter so as to have access to the softs and the full history. In between, I'll use MPM so I can pull all 3 daily. For scores, the only place you can buy TU and EQ FICOs are from here, so I do that (via SW for EQ).
I pull my report from annualcredit report once every 4 months (so in a year, I'll get all 3), and maybe pay for my scores from this site once every 6 months. When I was rebuilding it was more often, but now I don't really need to check my score too often.
I monitor my reports with USAA. I check annualcreditreport.com once per year. I sometimes backdoor to get an update directly from the CRA's website.
For scores, I get my EQ from M&T Bank ($2.99/mo) and for TU I use MyFico's quarterly TU monitoring ($4.19/mo).

When you say "purchase directly from all 3," what do you mean? All 3 what?

I'd say they are referring to the 3 major CRAs : EX,EQ, & TU.
Oh I see. You can purchase CR directly from them? How much do they cost?
Also, I got my FICO today from AMEX. I suppose it's not worth it to pay for a FICO from somewhere else for a little while, right?

I'd say it depends on what stage of the credit game you're at as to whether you should buy scores/reports frequently or not.
A few days ago was the first time I started reading about credit and really trying to plan a way to increase it and keep a good record. I've never requested a score, and my Chase Freedom acceptance was the first time I'd even saw a credit score. I think I should probably get a report soon to make sure that I don't have any negative marks I'm not aware of. I also picked up 3 credit cards within the past 5 months, 2 in the past 2 months, but according to my AMEX CLI denial letter, the inquiries didn't hurt my score much. It's a 725 and I can't imagine it was much higher 2 months ago.
