Hello all.
After working very diligently on the credit scores for six months, and paying off everything over the last year, this is where my wife and I sit.
.....August Sep Oct Nov December
Wife Equifax 525 529 n/a 574 n/a
Wife TransUnion n/a 550 n/a n/a n/a
Wife Experian n/a n/a n/a n/a 589
TBR Equifax 576 n/a 645 631 n/a
TBR TransUnion n/a n/a 647 n/a n/a
TBR Experian n/a n/a 679 n/a 689
This is the results of removing everything I could from the reports. All collection accounts have been paid and removed (they were mostly medical).
We now are left with three credit card lines on my wife’s that are trouble, and two CC lines on my report that are causing troubles. I have talked to CapitalOne, and they are unwilling to do anything with these accounts. They say they do not remove information unless it’s inaccurate. On two of the accounts they say 'Settled for less than full balance'. I have offered to pay the difference to remove, they will not remove, only change the comments.
So, my question is, where from here? I have opened one credit card for me, and very recently one for her. I have taken a small loan (8k) to pay debt, and that is all that is getting added to the reports at this point. What should I be doing now to move them up? Just wait? Keep trying letters to CapitalOne? I think that’s fruitless from what I have read on this site.
Any suggestions welcome.
