Hi,
I currently subscribe to too many credit monitoring products - I've got Equifax and I like that product even though they must run it on a slow platform. I like being able to see the softs as well. I have no reason to back door b/c I can see the softs.. But I can only see what's up with Equifax... I dont' know how much this is costing me, prolly $20/month.
I also have True Credit - and what I like about it is the little plus and minus signs, and proof how TU screws up adding and removing my Macy's / Bloomies TL, but you can't back door it at all. I've been shut down trying to look at my softs via the back door. There is a limit of how many times one can pose to actually submit a dispute without really doing so or you get locked out. I do think that lock eventually gets reset, at which point or date, IDK. I don't know how much I pay for this, maybe $20 a month.
Then, i have CCT - it's served it's purpose for me and this product is $30 a month. I like it b/c I find this product to be the most accurate and daily pulls are accurate and not a certain frame when you call pull, as long as it's the next day! but you have to look to find the changes or deletions...carefully. You can also back door EX as many times as you want and never get locked out (at least in the 100 plus times I've done it, i have not been locked out).
If I were a programmer, I would develop a monitoring program that would incorporate the plus/minus/exclamation points that TC uses, coupled with CCT's accurate daily pull which doesn't seem to matter what time you pull previous day, and go back door on all three. It would be that simple. And I would charge $40 a month for this b/c no one else offers it.
OK, which product do you use and why?
i pay $10 for my truecredit right now. i like it because it points out exactly what changed since the last update.
i also have one of the equifax monitoring products, can't remember which right now. not really worth it, i guess. but i signed up during a special they were having to get 4 free fico scores.
I got bored at work yesterday:
Illecs, great post. Thanks for that information and sharing it.
Definitely check out llecs CMS link.
If you're looking for a 3 in 1 Daily Puller, AMEX CS or USAA CCM appear to be the cheapest.
