The site is www.privacymatters.com. I signed up for the 1 week trial and went to cancel before the end of 7 days and was offered the whole year for 1 month of service for just $29.95. I thought National City was cheap at $9 per month. This is really cheap. They seem to be another reseller of TC. Smiley Happy

So you can continue to pull your credit report (more than just one time) for this deal?  the 29.95 is the same as the one-time purchase of a 3-in-1, so I'm just trying to verify.  I have not yet attempted this, just curious.

Re: Whoa. Best daily monitoring service yet!

Hey, thanks for the tip! I signed up for the free trial and then cancelled over the phone, and they just offered me the yearly for $29.95 too.

Awesome.

Can you pull it every day like True Credit?

No idea.

Thanks pizza. Yes you can. I got booted three times twice with TC and once with CIP and I was able to pull tonite during the $1 trial. Very nice and thanks again.Smiley Wink

Re: Whoa. Best daily monitoring service yet!

What a stupid mess. I sign up for the trial, cancel it and get the special offer, go back to the website to establish an account and am asked to prove my identity. Sure thing. It listed 3 of my revolving accounts by name, and asked to provide the account number for either one of them. And as an example, it said "for example: 01-3141234". What kind of a stupid example is that? I tried entering an account number (no dashes). Doesn't recognize it. Now I have 2 accounts listed. Tried a second account # (with dashes). Doesn't recognize it. Now I have 1 account listed. I log off, and log back on. Now, the option to verify is gone altogether, and I'll have to call them in the morning. Whatever account number format that form field expected, whoever approved that page for operation is more stupid than the person who designed it. :-)

By the way, can someone answer me this. I signed up for the trial, did NOT set up an account, and went straight to cancel over the phone, got the special offer, and then logged back in with the ID I got for the trial. Does this mean I'm indeed going to get that $29/year deal after all? The website will recognize this based on the ID, right? This seems like an incredible deal, if I somehow screwed up, I won't get that trial again. I'm hoping it sticks.

Re: Whoa. Best daily monitoring service yet!

Well, I called and got it straightened out. Apparently, they want the first 8 digits of the revolving accounts. Ridiculous for them to not write that out under the form field.

Now, how do I confirm that what I have indeed is a $29/year, because these companies these days can pull all kinds of stuff.

I am sure its a pending charge on your credit card. Why not start there?

I'm yet to see the $29 authorization. I see the original $1, but the $29 will probably appear eventually. Well, I followed the instructions to a T when canceling by phone, and I did hear the $29/year offer clearly. It gave me an option to accept, so that was a no-brainer. It would stand to reason that it would associate the new $29/year membership benefit with the original ID, because that's the only unique number to identify my trial membership. Those that already have an account, do you at all in your account that indicates the length of membership period? I couldn't find anything like that on mine, and if no one else sees it then I guess that's OK. If it goes through as it should, 2.5 bucks a month is a steal.

Re: Whoa. Best daily monitoring service yet!

I have another question. Now that it's working, right above the very first report pulled with this account it says "October 31 2007 (This report is available until November 30 2007)"

There is a link to "Request a New Report". When I click on it, I get this "Agree/Disagree" page. It lets me give permission to TU to pull my reports. So, this is it, right? The "get daily reports" things we all so much crave. Has anyone tried it already? After having received the $29/year membership, that is. After having heard all those stories about TU with people pulling daily reports and getting their accounts canceled for "suspicious activity", I'm a little wary.

The FAKO scores, by the way, truly suck, when I compare them to those of FICO.

Re: Whoa. Best daily monitoring service yet!

I think if you pull once per week you should be all right. With 1 TU inquiry and 0 EQ inquiries do you think I'll be pulling everyday? Nope.
