I'm driving home from work last night, my phone's in my lap and it lights up so I look down and what do you know? A text alert from Amex saying I made a purchase on Amazon.

Called right away and had that shut down.
If you don't have email AND text alerts on your cards, set that up ASAP.
Great catch there. Slightly off the cuff but I'd also be sure any computer and/or mobile device you used your Amex on, you scan that puppy ASAP as well as change passwords. Great tip and shows the value of text alerts!
