Equifax reports pretty close to 1/2 of my credit report from the other 2!!! so of course the score on EQ is not great.
1. Why would that be
2. How can they get away with this? I thought all reporting had to be accurate?
3. Can I force them to report? these idiots dont even have my mortgage on my report!!!!!!!
Your report might be split. It's pretty common. Do a little search here on the topic and give their customer service a call to check on that for you.

The CRAs will not take data from the consumer, but from a data furnisher. The data furnishers from what I understand are your lenders. If your lenders don't report data to EQ, than there is nothing you can do.
For me EX don't report my mortgage and I tried everything under the sun to find a way for it to be reported. Open disputes with EX, filed complaints with the CFPB, calls/letters to my mortgage company executive office, nothing has worked even thought my manage company reports to all big three CRAs.
In my case these companies DO report to EQ.
Chase credit card
Discover Credit card
Wells Fargo home mortgage
Bank of America Small personal loan
Credit union line of credit from Navy Federal
So they report (I have conformed that with all of them) but never shows up EQ ignores it
That is a lot of accounts. Have you called EQ? There could be incorrect data on your profile that dont match want thoes lenders are repoeting, (ie middle name, suffix, etc).
Called many times they blame the creditors "Maybe they are not reporting" NOOOO you guys are just liars

Call Equifax 1 last time to speak with a CSR. You'll almost certainly speak to someone in a call center in India; IME they are competent and can often see an error themselves, but Equifax severely limits their ability to make changes so they will need to open up an internal ticket which gets dispatched to US staff for investigation and resolution. If they do that be sure to have them give you the ticket # they open.
If it isn't fixed in 30 days file a CFPB complaint, specifically noting that a) you had already for example already contacted Chase, Discover, Wells Fargo, BoA, and NFCU and each has confirmed that they are reporting to Equifax, b) you have already confirmed that these accounts are being correctly reported by Experian and Transunion, and c) you already contacted Equifax without a satisfactory resolution.
As mentioned upthread you likely have what is known as a split file. I had this exact problem with them several years ago.
Legally-speaking, creditors do not have to report anything to any CRA. It's their choice to report as much or as little as they want. If there's no split report or no errors causing the lack of data...you can't force them to report if they decide not to. Data on a credit report does need to be accurate, but lack of details doesn't equate to inaccuracy, just incompleteness.

Creditors do not BUT what about when they ARE and EQ is just not posting it?

Creditors are not required to provide information, but when they do they must report accurately.
The CRAs are required to accurately report what has been provided.
