Why isn't my score going up?

I pay my bills on time every month. I never my cards more than 20% of their balances. I want to know why my score is at at stan still. I did file bankruptcy in 2004 since then I don't have any outstanding debt. So what can I do to make my score go above 618 and is there a monthly service for the other TU and Experian like I am using with Equifax through my fico. I hope this all makes sense. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Why isn't my score going up?

MyFICO only offers monitoring for EQ only. There isn't a service out there that offers monitoring with FICO scores on all 3. Some of here use other sites like TrueCredit to monitor but we ignore the scores.

Try reducing your balances to below 10% and you'll likely see an increase. Make sure each individual card is at that level too.

Study each report and attack any baddies. The advice from this forum is great. Study each baddies and make sure they were included in the BK, if applicable.

Re: Why isn't my score going up?

You'd have to tell us some more like what cards you have and their limits.

You could try to dilute the bad info on your report by adding positive TLs or getting CLIs...

Hi bennen, and welcome to the forum! Smiley Happy

Well you do have a BK sitting in Public Records. That in itself is a major baddie. do you have any collections, or lates on your CR's? Those are major contributors to score drops.

How many credit cards do you have, and how old are they? Based on what you've told us, we really don't have enough info to form a good opinion.

It could just be the Credit bureaus. I have waited at least 3 months before the catch up and do their jobs. And you never get all of the points you deserve i have noticed. I myself did not get any movement form anybody for february, so in March I might get some points but I will not get Febs and March.
