No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
The common credit reporting manual used by the big-4 CRAs, titled the Credit Reporting Resource Guide, explicitly addresses this issue, and thus the answer is not speculative if you are referring to EX, EQ, TU, or Innovis.
Anthing under $1 is shown as $0. There are no negative balances in your credit file, only with the creditor.
Yes, the Guide appears to permit rounding, so $.99 could be reported as $1.
The CRRG states as follows:
"Report the total current balance of the account, whether increasing or declining, in whole dollars only. This field can include late charges and fees. Report credit balances (negative balances) as zero."

Huh? If negitve balances don't report as such, than how could reporting as a negitve balances cost any points? If all accounts are zero, sure that will cost some points. It will report as zero and impact your credit the same as any other zero balance. I'm I missing something here?
that was a joke.... turn your internet sarcasm meter on
Sorry about the confusion guys, I'll try to make it even more obvious next time.
