Working on adding TL's need advice.

I'm going through my dh's cr looking for accounts that are still open. He has 33 accounts in good standing on his cr. Some where thought to be closed but are showing open. I guess this works to my advantage. OK, my credt history goes back to 2001; even though I only have 2 tl's on exp (3 on equ and tu). My husband has a Gap card (that we do not have a physical card for) that is showing open on his cr. Since it's history only goes back to 2001 should we even bother to add me as an AU since my own sl is from 2001?

BTW - We decided not to fill out the paperwork to add me as an au on his Kay card since they sent me one of my own.

Add to ALL... The benefits of AU are not immediate. It takes a month  or two to report. And with no knowledge of which CRA will be adopting the new score system you should try to take full advantage.

Re: Working on adding TL's need advice.

I believe EQ plans to ignore all AUs from September, and TC and EX from early next year.

You will know when they do because scores dependant on AUs will drop like a stone as soon as the new calculations are implemented
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

I agree.  Add to all and try to reap some of the benefits before it goes away.   As soon as you get a few added then apply for a few good solid lines of your own since come Sept. you'll be back to having limited TL's if you don't take advantage now.
