Writing DV letters

I asked this the other day but never really got a direct response to my question So here goes... Im trying to write my DV letters, and my CR doesnt list any of my full account numbers, in some cases, no acct number at all. All of the DV letter samples I saw on here include the acct number. is it acceptable to list a partial number on the letter? and what to do in the few cases where it says the acct number isnt reported? The CR is all i have to go on, I dont have any other documentation where I could find these numbers. Please let me know! thanks...

Re: Writing DV letters

CRs only have part of the account #s. That is all that you need   If there is no account # on the CR  call that CRA and ask what it is....

Thanks for the response Smiley Happy One more question, The part of the DV letter which says:

1.       Evidence that your company is registered as a consumer collection agency in the State Of ________

Do I fill in my state or the state they operate out of? Im sure thats a dumb question but I want to make sure its right before I send out. Thanks again!

Re: Writing DV letters

That is only applicable IF a license/bond/ etc is required in the state you live in (the answer is the state where you live).
