? about Verizon Wireless

I had an account with verizon wireless. The account is on my credit report as a paid in full charge off. I paid it in 2004 and it was reported in 2002. It is due to drop on in 2009. I sent a goodwill letter to them asking if they would remove it from my credit report completly. They sent me a letter back saying that they would like to address my concerns, however they have been unable to reach me by telephone. It gives me a number to contact them. Do you think if I call it they may remove it? I don't owe them any money at all and like I said the account was paid in full. Just wondering if anyone has ever gotten a letter like this and what the outcome was. Thanks!

Sounds like the letter did not reach the right person- and/or they could not find you in their system.

Should I call them or send another letter?

I would call. Make sure that you get the name and ID number of the person(s) who help you out. Then you can follow-up with a letter to the President of the Region where you're located if you don't get the removal the way you want in the next credit reporting cycle.

I found out the california president's name and email and have been send him emails (will send a letter tomorrow if I don't hear back) to get a Verizon Collection removed.
