CreditSecure is not a FICO...the fico scores are free.
Edit The fico score from amex is free.
The reason to have CreditSecure is for the ability to sign up for unlimited daily 3-bureau credit reports. Scoring is not the killer feature there, it's the constant access to the full details of all 3 reports.
If scoring is your primary concern, CredtCheckTotal and myFICO are better services for that, among others.

What were you looking to get from CreditSecure, then? More frequent scores? More frequent reports?
It's not as if they are at all misleading about what you get. Not only does the marketing splash page not mention FICO scores in any way, it clearly says they are PLUS scores in multiple places.

Compared to a lot of other "get your credit score" sites that are very coy about what score you will be getting, I think they are refreshingly up-front about exactly what the score is.

it's a "plus" score so it's amex's interal score that doesn't reflect real scores as he elaborately stated.
Also, to be clear, the PLUS score is not an Amex internal score, it's an algorithm created by Experian. In my experience, it tracks pretty close to the EX FICO score, so as far as FAKO scores go it's at least better than some.

And if you don't need daily reports (and you probably don't!) , you can get EQ/TU free from CK every 7 days

This is a public forum meant to provide information to all who read this thread. I'm not on your case about it, but I'm wanting to make sure the thread provides the best information it can. Not just to you, but to everyone.
Just because you don't need alternatives, that doesn't mean others don't.
Just because you don't find the service worth paying for, doesn't mean it lacks any redeeming qualities others might want to pay for.
You made your original post in what I presume was a spirit of contributing useful information to the community. I have made mine in the same spirit.
We're all just here to help, and I'm on no one's case but my own.
American Express is now offering your Fico score for FREE and it is the Experian Fico score.
