Congats! I did my CLIs in the 3-5k range. But I have the scores and income to justify it. The nice thing about AMEX is they do not pull hard inqs when requesting a CLI. They ask your income and scan your payment history with them, thats it. They also do review your CRs monthly, I always see soft inqs by them on my reports, usually EQ. CLI makes us feel good, just be careful with the LUV button online.

I applied for delta sky miles and got a credit limit of $1000.00 After making my first month's payment, I requested a credit limit increase of $1000,00 and they gave it to me so now my credit limit is $2000.00. I could not believe it was that easy. Did I not ask for enough? When you guys request CLI's, how much do you specify with AMEX?
Excellent! It has been alleged time and time again that Amex, unlike a lot of other CCCs, hates revolvers. That is cardholders who revolve, not 38 specials.

Your request to increase your line of credit to $20,000 has been approved and will be available for use within 15 minutes.i have never been late with amex and i haven't had a balance on that card in a few months, so i guess they based the CLI approval on my good history with them (without having to pull a CR) and the income i entered. not bad!
