My CU has told me numerous times that they report on the statement cut date which for me is the 15th.....today fico dings me 9 points because I find out that they reported my balance on the 31st of last month. I questioned this...and all I got was 'Im sorry, we cant change it now"...really?!!? Can they be reported to FCPB? This is the third time this year!!!!! Bout ready to change CU's!! These folks need to get their act togeather!!! Rant over~
I'm not sure about all of this. I have the same issue with US Bank. They have been reporting all over the place. Sigh....I hardly use that card because of it.

I believe US Bank reports at the end of the month only.

Sounds like a card that needs to be permantently zero'd my friend when you are going through any application process you actually care about.
Which CU are we talking about?
I really never had problems with my banks. I just keep the minimum balance to not pay a monthly fee, don't overdraw the account and all is fine.

Nope. If you're micromanging utilization it's really on you. What do your reports indicate for the report date(s) for your CU?
If you're going to worry over your score then set a higher threshold. I'd suggest at least 20 points. 9 is far too few to worry over.

US Bank is end of month. IIRC last business day.
