My father just added me to his united mileage plus with a 32 grand limit. Even though i have prime card i can imagine this will def help me.

Only if he uses it.

The new FICO models have really diminished the positive effect of AU accounts but definitely punish you for aspects such as new account and utilization.

How long has he had it?

Since 2002, so thats a huge AAOA boost.

Does Chase report authorized users? I thought I read somewhere that they didn't.

It may help your score, but it will make the score non-representative of only your own personal credit history.

A potential creditor evaluating any application for credit, if they do a manual reiew of your credit report and see an AU, will recognize that your score is not an assessment of your own personal risk, and may choose to discount the score in their decision making.  They have no way to back out its impact on your score.

Adding an AU is not always a win.
