can a charge off still show as open

Hey I was wondering,  I have a gmac account that I filed BK on, but my wife did not file Bk on this account.  So the bk covered me but it is showing she has a balance and this account is open, and the  account was Charged off about 4 years ago.  Can GMAC still show a balance and account is still open on a account they charged off?

glass  you are covered because of BK  but I if she didn't and it was a joint account I believe that it might be reported right.
 
Wait and see what others have to say. I do not know that much about BK
