can i despute a chargeoff

hi again

i was talking to someone in the forums the other day about desputing a chargeoff acct now under "Too old to report" tho its do to drop off on 8/07 the reason i want it off know is that i want to apply for a loc/loan they said it came off within days after disputing it. i have this 1 neg chageoff acct on my TU

my fico scores as of right know are: EQ 720 (love that one) EX ??? TU 580

i dono if i need to be atlest in the 600 to get aproved for a loan..

please advise

P.S. THE chage off acct is a captial one CC which was pd in 3/07 as part of a deal i made... i know i shouldn't have paid it but i was scared they talked about going after a jugement or somthing..but know i just want it off!

Did you ask CAP1 if they would be so kind to delete since you paid? If not just dispute as obsolete.

You should kindly ask.. not demand. They are not obligated to delete.
