can i get something removed by company?

This will sound stupid or crazy to most, but I'm wondering if I can have a credit card company remove a closed account from my credit reports entirely.  Mind you, this is an account that was never late, and I know, I know, I know, how great it is to have positives when looking at scoring.  But I still want it off....I don't want to wait 10 years with this hovering in my report, for personal reasons.

Is this possible?  Please, I'm not looking for advice as to why I shouldn't do it....this is not about my credit score.  I just wonder if it's possible.

Thanks.

E.

Call the creditor and ask them to remove it. If older than your AAoA, your score will drop.

Thanks....It's actually a reasonably new card.....maybe only 2007. All of my other credit is years old, both open & closed. So, it is possible for a creditor to pull something off? Does it matter who it is? In this case, it's a Chase credit card. Thanks again...I look forward to your thoughts... E

All you can do is try. I'm guessing that you will get the same response that you would if it were loaded with lates and other derogatories: "We are required by law to report this."
