You need to speak with the lawyer who is suing you and explain that you will pay ASAP and were told that the judgement would be removed, and so would like that in writing.

Atty does not need to know CAs description of how the judgement would be removed.

Yes, and a judgement is a biggie.  Satisfied is better of course, but it's still not something you want there.  Also it's going to be on there for roundabout 7 years from when it was filed.

Smartcookie, thanks for all your help, i really appreciate it, is there anyway i can get this judgment off of my report since it is satisfied. Do you think calling the credit reporting agencies and showing them i paid it off, will they remove it?

Unfortunately the fact that is is satisfied has no bearing on the CRA removing it early.

Still you might be able to have the CA delete it thru GW at a later date (might...), but your best plan of action is to try to deal with the attorney now before you pay, and have it in writing.

It's a little messy, on the one hand you could try to deal with OC if they will still take that payment... but I doubt it due to the judgement.  If OC did take the payment it might be easier to have the judgement dropped in the future.  It could very well be a headache though.

Being that time is of the essence, you really might want to try to obtain an attorney to see if they can slow this down for you.
