card reporting

Hi all!

Hey, does anyone know when Capital One reports to the bureaus?  Discover It secured card posted my account before I even used my card.

Re: card reporting

You are asking one of two questions.  Can you clarify which one?

(1)  After I get approved for a Cap One card, how long will it take before it appears on my three reports?  And do I need to use it or activate it before it can appear?

(2)  Once my card does appear on my three reports, when will Cap One report a new balance each month to the three bureaus?

Re: card reporting

Most credit issuers report the card balance at the end of the billing cycle (statement closing date). For new accounts, some issuers report the new account as soon as the account gets created before you even receive the card by mail.

This article has more details.
