changing payment history on closed accounts

Long story short, I pulled my EX report today and saw that I had a negative account missing from the negative accounts section of the report. Upon further inspection, my BoA CC which previously reported 2 late payment in late 2005 now was replaced "no data" for those 2 months. Those baddies haven't hit 7 years yet. I then pulled my EQ report, and those 2 months are still reporting as late.

What's going on here? Thanks!

AMEX: $25,000, CSR: $10,000, Chase Priority Club: $1,500, Freedom: $5000, Freedom Unlimited: $1000, Discover: $21,000, BoA $11,000, WF Cash Wise: $5000

It sounds to me like EX just decided to drop the lates a little bit early ~  It's good news, the account will reflect positively now.

I've had lates drop a few months earlier than scheduled sometimes.....It's always a nice suprise when that happens.  Smiley Happy

I guess I'll see what happens when I pull it the next time.

Just curious, how much negative impact does a closed account from 7 years ago that have 2 lates affect the score. It is my oldest account. I know not to expect a big increase. I have 3 other accounts that add up to about 10 lates. (ahh those crazy irresponsible days)

Yeah I wouldn't expect a big score bump since you have more recent negative items.    When my 7 year old lates dropped earlier this year I didn't get much since my newer lates are still hanging around....

Re: changing payment history on closed accounts

So when they dropped, does it just show "no data" for the months with the lates?

Yep, that's exactly what happened on my EX report.
