collection re-aging

the only exception to DOLA :
Was reading the FCRA and some information pertaining to a collection account, If I read this or understand this correctly "Fair Isaac rates collections as "date assigned" or "date opened" and not the DOLA which means if the collection account is re-assigned to another collection company the date is "refreshed"  which means the clock starts again.

Re: collection re-aging

The scoring will hurt more with more recent activity/reporting.

The DOFD (the one that matters to when it drops) does not change.

Re: collection re-aging

I was recently told that they both drop when the original creditor is past the 6 or 7 year time frame, I hope this is true?
