credit bureau and reporting times

after my statement from a credit card provider has closed, how long on average does it take for the three credit bureaus to receive and update their system with this current information?

Re: credit bureau and reporting times

If you ask the CRAs directly they'll say they update immediately after receiving the information, but that's not been my experience. I find that EX is often the fastest and updates within 1 or 2 days. EQ usually follows a day or two later and then TU lags behind all of them - often with a lag time of a week or a bit more. My last TU update (for an account reporting 3/29) took until 4/8 to update.  But this is just my average experience. Sometimes it's quicker, sometimes it's slower. Hope that helps!

Re: credit bureau and reporting times

There is also another factor to reporting time IME....

1)  Updates immediately - when you're ok with it taking time.

2)  Updates eventually  - when you want it to be immediately.
