credit card consolidation loans

What companies would you recommend for a credit card consolidation loan? The ones online are so much less hassle but I got a couple for other purposes but when I try to get one for a credit card consolidation loan I am getting denied because my credit card utilization is too high.. The sole purpose I want to consolidate them is the sole reason they are declining me. Can't seem to get past this point with any so far. Any help is appreciated

Re: credit card consolidation loans

You might try Cickle Back Lending. My utilization was a mere 30%, but I wanted to get my CC utilization down to $15 and only have to make 1 payment. They approved a $10K loan @ 10% with a TU 651.

Payments are $327 month which is about $30 more than my actual bills, but I SD the cards I paid off and will garden until this loan has about 6-12 months of activity.

In the garden since 02/1/23. Newest Account AU Discover It 10K
02/23 Scores; EQ 608 TU 642 EX 575 CCU: 20%, Inq. 2, 1, 2 Collections $39K
Lending Club: newest account 2/3/23. Old Fico 1/17 EQ 530 TU 542 EX 512

Which ones have you received denials from? It's hard to make recommendations without knowing that.

Re: credit card consolidation loans

most of them turned me down.  I have small loans with lending club and prosper that I took out for other purposes.  I tried getting a second loan from them and they turned me down for high utlilzation.

I got turned down from avant, borrowers first and circleback.  I have nothing negative on my report but the thing that is the issue is the high utilization.  I have some cards with no or low utilization but some with high.. just can't get around this for some reason.

In addition to those, there is also Payoff.com, Sofi.com, Upstart.com, BestEgg.com, and PromiseFinancial.com that are are all soft pulls to see if you qualify, how much you can get, and at what APR.

Re: credit card consolidation loans

I know everyone says that the interest rates with Avant are insane, but if you can't get anything else, definitely try them out. I was funded within 24 hours, very quick and easy, no employment or income verification, my utilization was over 85%, the customer service is amazing. Easy to pay. Yes the interest rates can be high depending on your credit score. But if you can find a way to pay it off earlier than the three years, you will save a lot of money. What I did, was take out a $10,000 loan even though I only needed 8500 and then I took the extra amount and paid it on the beginning of the loan which is where the most interest is.

They can be high regardless of credit score.
