haapril, MyFico does not technically update any data. MyFico only sells the scoring program to the CRAs, and does not mantain or update any CR data.
The instant after your data is updated with the CRA, then the FICO score will reflect it.
So it is a CRA reporting issue. You make a payment. OCs dont report to the CRAs until billing cycle is concluded, and the OC can delay for long periods for business reasons. Once the OC reports to the CRA, then the CRA must process and enter the reported data. Typically, payments you make can have a delay of up to two months in finally posting to your credit file.
When you request a credit score, the algorithm simply looks at your current credit file.
Reports purchased from myFICO are not self updating.
To get an updated report, you must purchase it.
If you have scorewatch, your score will update, but not your report.
