does it count when I pull credit?

I've heard that scorewatch blows so I figured I'd just pay the 15 bucks and pull my credit reports periodically.  But does it lower my score when I request credit reports - especially through myfico?

No. pulling your own reports does not affect your score.

I am very happy with scorewatch. It has helped me when something my soon-to-be-ex does hits my credit report. going on four years now. Started with 639, now at 746.

Its my experience that scorewatch doesn't update, at all... You have to buy a report to get a score change, I haven't had an alert in 2 months, without prompting the system. IMO, you're better off just buying the scores when you want them rather than paying for the service. As soon as I'm able, SW is gone.

Re: does it count when I pull credit?

I have SW with EQ and have had alerts on score changes, balance changes, when disputes are made, etc.  I like it other than I can't see my report without paying extra (I already used my freebees).  I have had some stuff deleted on TC (I am in a free trial) and nothing has changed with SW but I'm going to give it more time.  My EQ was my midscore, and we are building a house so I wanted to see my EQ FICO and it seemed the best and cheapest way.  I just wish they would update a little faster.  For day to day maintenance though, I think I prefer TC.
