I know that for a fha mortgage they take the middle score from the three companies. Does it really matter which company is in the middle? Do they perfer one over the other. My TU and Equifax are just 1 point apart making them 10 and 11 points away for the 640 target for FHA. Do the banks really care which one is the middle? Thanks and have a blessed Thanksgiving.
The middle score is the magic number! In other words the best score and the worst score is ignored. Doesn't matter which bureau is the middle score. I't a fair way to keep the playing field level for all applicants.

+1 agree with namvet. Also the mortgage lender may get totally different FICO scores, then the ones you have.
There are different FICO scoring models out there, some lenders still use the older ones, while some are using the newer models.
