dv for calvary---- Please Help!!!!

I recently sent out a dv to Cavalry in NY. It was signed on 3/11/08. I still have not received any info back. I know it may be too soon to count on them sending anything. In my letter I stated they would need to validate the debt was mine or they would have to stop reporting to the 3 bureas. If I dont hear anything back from them what would be my next step? I am trying to purchase a home in the next couple of months through FHA and they specifically require me not to have any open collections. Anyones advice will definitley help. Thanks!

cavalry is the only CA I have that has not sent any information on my DV, nor changed any information on my CR...  It has been exactly 35 days since they received the DV, and I am planning on sending a letter to the CRAs on Monday including the DV letter,the GC,and the certified mail reciept. Im jsut hoping that all this money spent on CMRRR'ing to the CRAs will pay off, and they wont validate the "usual" way..

. I have NEVER recieved anything from cavalry on this account I had with sprint- and I was actually  disputing charges with sprint, because they wanted to charge me a 600 phone bill- when they flat out told me, and in my contract it stated  " free internet access for 60 days"... so I doubt cavalry will be able to verify... and its a really old account, they got to me when I was 18...

Hi Shade. If they don't respond satisfactorily to the DV in 35 days, then dispute with the CRAs, sending them copiesof the GC, CM receipt and the DV letter. Some have also had success sending the CA a follow-up DV letter (search Lady Scarlet).

I sent Calvary a dv in Feb.  Never heard anything.  I sent the proof of mailing and all that to CRA, they sent a letter back saying that they report the info provided by the creditors and that I need to contact them directly.  So 2nd request dv goes out monday. Round three-  DING!

Thanks to all for the info. I really hope they just send it or do the right thing. This is ridiculous, the credit bureaus dont do anything to help with the situation either.

I'm going through the same thing with Cavalry now.  DV signed for on 3/6 and not a peep from them to date.  I also disputed with the CRAs after I sent the DV and TU and EQ came back VERIFIED (still waiting on EX).

I have my follow up all ready to go (CMRRR - just need to add the postage, LOL).  If I don't get a reply or a delete by 4/10 I'll send it out.

BTW, mine is for $366 and they claim the OC is Cingular.  Well I am current with my Cingular service so I don't know where this came from.  It is actually set to drop off on 8/2008 (which makes me think something happened with the ATT-Cingular-ATT deals and someone screwed something up).

I just want it off NOW and I willing to take it to court if I have to (I'll spend $3,660 to get this $366 collection off my report - and call Cavalry out on the carpet).
