FICO credit complete gives you a "snapshot" of all three of your current FICO credit scores, but it does not update, it's only today's scores.

If you purchased the annual renewal version, it will automatically give you all three scores again next year, but does not update throughout the year.

Short answer - no monthly monitoring.  Snapshot means you see the score as of a point in time.  If I buy all three scores now, I see what they are right now.  If my scores change tomorrow or in 3 weeks, I wouldn't be notified.  This product has a note that it automatically renews every year so if you don't cancel it, you will get your scores again in a year, and you will be charged at that time.

Re: fico credit complete question?

snapshot means your FICO score at the time you pay for it. Your score can change every day, depending on what new information your creditors report to the 3 cra's. Your score can also change more than once in the same day.

Re: fico credit complete question?

on this note.. does anyone know why they don't offer something like this?

they offer the deal where you get equifax every week, or transunion quarterly.. but what keep them from offering the full range of scores however the user wishes to receive them?

for me, i cannot even track my equifax score because no one seems to report anything to them and fico cannot compile scores. so only TU and EX are even useable. i still don't fully understand how this works but some have talked about being in different parts of the country or something.. and i guess the creditors get to decide who they want to report to.. so maybe if i open more accounts someone will eventually report to EQ.. but for now it is completely blank whereas TU and EX have the whole multitude of accounts.

so for me having a weekly monitoring of EQ is not helpful.. if they offered the same service but with TU or EX I would probably be all over one if not both.

at this point i am just purchasing TU and EX scores individually basically once a month.. actually a little more than a month as i just wait until the last day i can view the old scores to pull new ones. so the TU monitoring being quarterly makes it as useless as the EQ deal.

why no service for people like me to help me save a few bucks myfico?? i guess that is what it comes down to.. the money. if they can't find a way to offer those products and make the money they want to off of them.. this is the only reason i can come up with as to why they would not offer such products.

The reason myFICO can't offer the kind of service you (and many others, including myFICO) would love to have offered here is that Experian has no interest in offering that kind of deal through myFICO - they want to peddle their 'credit score' instead.  You may have noticed that Experian doesn't even want to be helpful to the consumer by noting the 'things helping your score' that the other 2 do. Smiley Mad

Barry has commented several times on the Feedback board that he'd love to offer the kind of service you've mentioned - Experian won't cooperate.  myFICO does the best they can with what they have to work with from the three CRA's.  Experian's a bit of a grumpy git - we're lucky we get what we do from them!
