first GW denied :(

I received my first GW response todaySmiley Sad.  They said no because they "need to report the activities on each account in manner that our policies allow within the FCRA rules and regulations."    I sent this to PO Box 10210 wilmington de 19850.

Does anyone have a different address or contact that may work??  Any suggestions?  Thank you!!

I forgot to say  it is Applied Bank (formerly Cross Country Bank)

I trust that you sent that one to nobody in particular (good, if so). Google would be your friend in this case. Try to find someone who seems to be in the credit reporting department (like in charge). If that doesn't work, keep working your way up the chain.

Re: first GW denied :(

Dont feel bad ... I have yet to have one work for me. Right now I am 0-5. The return letters almost sound like they have no idea what I am talking about ... One said that they are reporting the information correctly.. LOL Oh well, gotta keep trying. I will try to re-word it so it explains Goodwill better. I have tried the letters on here, so unless someone has another version?

Re: first GW denied :(

I sent a GW letter to 3 different addresses for Macy's.  I haven't gotten a reply yet, but when I do, if I get a denial I'll let it fuel the fire to write more letters and find out who is the next higher-up person to contact.

One thing I learned in general when trying to get info like that is to call and say "I wanted to write a letter explaining how much an employee helped me and I want to nice write a positive letter about it. What's your supervisors name, and the person above him/her too!" Ensure the person its a positive letter and not bad. Just make sure then when you write a GW letter, you do include something positive in it to honor what you said. If they're going to do GW for you, you might as well do GW for them too.
