Freecreditreport scores: EX: 767, EQ: 711 and TU: 692
So for kicks I applied for Amex PRG, Delta and Costco over the weekend
PRG: Aprroved, Rush Delivery, MSD: 2007
Costco: Approved, Rush Delivery, 10K CL, MSD 2014 (called and they said that they can back date MSD after 10 days)
Delta: Approved, 10K CL, MSD 2007
Currently an AU on Amex SPG 16K CL, Amex Plat since 07 and Chase United Visa CL 35K.
One auto loan in perfect standing $500/mo and approx 150K year income (300K household)
Here are the zingers:
- I then applied for a Chase card since I bank with Chase. After dealing with TU to unfreeze my report which was a haze, Chase declined when I asked the CSR the score over the phone he told me 590! **bleep**???
- EQ score watch gave me a 601
Looking at the three reports I see that Ally Bank hasnt been reporting to TU my auto loan and my AU Chase United card. I called Ally Bank and they are going to report to TU and said it takes up to 48 hours.
Went from feeling great to bummed out. Replaced the security freezes so I can focus on gardening.
Welcome to the forums!
The scores from freecreditreport.com are FAKOs, and not particularly useful indicators of your true credit standing.
Thank you.
The ONLY "baddies" are:
1) EQ / TU: 12/2012 T-Mobile 120 day late paid in full from Midland Funding which shouldn't be on there since I paid T-Mobile directly
2) TU: 2009 Los Angeles Public Library paid in full - honestly have NO idea what that is
Everything else is perfect.
I guess TU and EQ give way less points for authorized cards.
I don't know what your true scores are.
If they're around 600, this would explain why Chase denied you, but not why Amex approved you.
Amex typically pulls EX, which might explain things.
A 120-late is a serious derogatory, that would keep your scores depressed for a while.
