freezing or locking CRA

so i have read where people do this and i have my fico monthly service but how do you do this?

It's better to freeze. That provides federal protection for you, whereas a lock will not give those protections.

A freeze and lock can both be done online.

what a day, someone hacked into experian acct and i cant get in and now experian wont let me freeze my file online

That is unfortunate. Give Experian a call. Hopefully, they can resolve the issue.
