I am trying to get my credit score to go up I went from 17 things on my credit report to 8 in bad standing and 9 in good standing. My bad one's are:
Cba Collections for 192.00 comcast bill
CMre financial 205.00 doctors bill
FMS 370.00
Money Recovery Nation Wide 259.00 doctors bill
Norfolk Financial 488.00
Dte 65.00 its showing under bad but I only owe 65.00 and that bill just came out.
Swiss Colony 0.00 balance paid after went to collections
Credit one 0.00 balance paid after went to collections
With the credit cards that I had in good standing I maxed them out I did not know that if you maxed them out even though I was paying my bill every month on-time that it did not look good. so I just started 2 months ago paying my balance back up its over 50% now. And I started paying more than the month amount. I just need some more ideas of what I can do. because in 2011 I would like to bye my first home. So if anyone can give me some type of advice i would appreciate it.
Send letters on the collections etc. offering to "PFD" Pay for Delete. You agree to pay them and they agree to remove the collection from your credit reports....only do this if you get it in writing. I am sure there is a letter format somewhere on this site.
Also, if the doctor bills aren't too old (I'd say last 18 months) go back to the institution and pay them directly....then they have to remove the CA reported on your credit.
The only other thing you can do is pay your credit cards off and only let 9% or less report each month....by 2011 your scores should be in the high 700's.
Don't be late on anything.
Good Luck!
For medical collections, follow the HIPAA letter writing process. It may take a little time - but you should be able to make them disappear!
Good luck!
