hsbc not updating???

So i applied for an Orchard Card last month and got approved for $300 CL with the annual fee of $59. I paid the AF and closed the account right now because i don't want too many new cards on my reports since i also got approved for Amex Delta, WaMu, Hooters (all with better CLs) The lady on the phone offered to raise my CL to $500 OR credit my account for half of the annual fee if i stay with them. But i still said no. Do you guys think i should have kept the card?? It hasn't yet appeared on my credit reports, do ya'll think it will appear as paid and closed when they report? What effect would this have on my credit score?

HSBC normally reports on or near the last day of the month, and their reports get posted on the TC updates about a week later. Their April reporting date (at least on my reports) was April 30. Their May report should be dated about May 31 and normally would have posted by about June 7, so they are 6+ days later than usual at the moment. The fact that they do one huge report batch at the end of each month (instead of on the statement dates like most other CCCs) probably makes them more likely to have a glitch cause a major delay.

Yup, no update for me since 4/2007. But I just disputed the lates on my Orchard card, all lates removed - 40 point increase on Experian!

I got the Orchard Bank credit card in April and that card has yet to show up on any of my credit reports.  I'm now 3 months in and want those timely payments to start showing up.  I would love to know what is going on.
