Re: iPhone Upgrade Program financed by Citizens Bank

I'm confused about it too. I would think its a hard pull? They are not releasing a lot of info on it or I am slow in my searching.

THe Apple Iphone Upgrade program says you need your SS# and DOB for a credit check.  I assume a HP.

Re: iPhone Upgrade Program financed by Citizens Bank

I asked this question a week or so ago too.

Ultimately came to the decision that there obviously isn't an answer, because noone has actually done it yet...

We'll know after September 25. Some already have appointments reserved on that day i think to sign up for the iphone upgrade program and im sure those in line waiting will sign up too and hopefully report back here. Probably same opening a checking account. Obviously the upgrade program those who cant afford it shouldnt be that harsh checking up on their credit.

Yeah I have an apt 8am the day of release to sign up myself, so I will report back.

And I am fully expecting a HP.

Re: iPhone Upgrade Program financed by Citizens Bank

I have an apt for 1 pm on Friday. I am seriously reconsidering though.

I of course impulse did this thing and have a good iphone 6 but like the idea of getting a new one every year. id pay the fee for that but i know nothing about that bank citizens and it does seem like a silly hard pull but whatever.

id really appreciate someone who goes first thing in the am on friday to report back with what goes down! Smiley Happy

Think you can lease them through most carriers now for $15/month perpetually with an upgrade every year I think.

I go years between phones (still using a 4s that I bought refurbished heh) though finally broke down and pre-ordered one this time full monty.

Unfortunately. I am in a 2 year agreement with Sprint and I like their service. I contacted them asking if there was anyway to change my service to their iphone upgrade program and they said no. Only for new customers or customers eligable to upgrade their device Smiley Sad

The last thing I have to find out is if I am going to have to pay sprint any kind of fee's for changing my iphone

Ah, I was completely eligible Smiley Happy

If it were me I'd just wait the year for the iPhone 7 when you're likely done with your contract at that point and then rollover.  Likewise I haven't had a problem with Sprint since I've had the service (since 2000) and reportedly moving to their LTE network from the 4S's 3G should fix the connectivity issues I've had as of late after moving.  Did pick up the contractless version though just in case.

Re: iPhone Upgrade Program financed by Citizens Bank

I just purchased the new IPhone 6s. I was approved for the 24 month installment loan with Citizens Bank @ 0%. They do need a CC for the first payment. If you upgrade in 12 months, you are not liable for the remaining payments on the IPhone- pretty sweet deal
