Hey everyone im hoping someone can help me. I been exceptional on my kay jewerles account until a week ago when i got an alert on my credit report saying it was 30 days late. Come to find out that my payment didnt go through or automated my payment I had set. It was my last payment of 30 dollars and as soon as I got the alert I paid it off. So Im trying to figure out if I can email the CEO of comenity branch with kay jewerles to resolve this issue rather to dispute it with the bearus. Im a newbie working on my credit and i was in the high 700s across the board until this issue happen. It drop my credit 40 points and Im just hoping someone can help me get back and scale my credit futher.
Thank You so much in advance =)
You can't dispute it. It's factual information. You didn''t pay.
You can of course try to goodwill it off, but it they refuse, it will be on your CRs for the full 7 years I;m afraid.
thats what im going to do since its my first and only offense. im tryin to reach out to them to send a goodwill
Right. I guess I'm not clear what your actual question is?
Their question is perfectly clear, they are attempting GW removal.
@Anonymous hopefully someone else has more information for you. About a decade ago they were quite willing to do GW removals then it changed to "reporting is accurate" without much budging on that end.
You will need to send a good will request to the issuing creditor, I dont know what Comenity has to do with Kay Jewelers as they issue their own cards. Welcome to my Fico

How was your auto-payment set up? I mean, was it via your bank's bill pay or the credit card's website or what?
Regardless, if there was no legitimate reason for the company not to make the auto-payment, THEY should be accountable for this. Many years ago, Bank of America failed to make a payment I had scheduled; once I found out it was past due, I contacted them and they completly took care of it, explaining [in writing] to the creditor that it was their fault, they would pay any late fees/penalties, etc. The creditor accepted that and that was the end of it.
So I would start by going to the website responsible for making your auto-payments for this account. Find out why they didn't make the payment. If there's no valid reason, such as an expired card or insufficient funds, it's probably just a mistake on their part and they should fix it.
