When I was applying for mortgage pre approval recently I was under the impression that the inquires would count "as one". Within a certain timeframe of course, these were done on the 23rd and 24th of May.
Of course we all know that is never the case, simple becuase no one cares enough to code them correctly. Its actually highly irritating because its like having your credit shotgunned at a car dealer out to every regional bank in your area....
On both my Transunion and Equifax, I have 2 mortgage inquires each.
They are coded as "Miscellaneous Reptg. Agencies" , "Misc". and "Bank".
What the point of having all mortgage inquires count as one if..... they dont?
Any recourse here?
