Re: mysterious soft pull

Strange.  Is this from a CMS report, or is it pulled directly from Equifax ?

Re: mysterious soft pull

Not strange at all.  Done thousands of times a day.

Potential creditors who wish to make you promotional offers for credit have the right to obtain your name and address from a CRA for purposes of sending those promotional offers.  It is a permissible purpose. However, they do not get your full CR.     FCRA 604(c).  Part of the business world.....

If you wish to end the inclusion of your name from any list provided by the CRA for such promotional offers, simply opt-out under the provisions of section 604(e).

I think what OP is saying is that the name of the creditor or company is missing.......it's totally blank. OP doesn't know who pulled the credit report.
