Check out this Verizon account. I know this is hard to read jumbled up but in the 81 month payment history at the bottom according to the " * " this means on time paying as agreed except the 1 chargeoff month. According to the info in the report below the date of the 1st major delinquency reported was 10/08 though the payment history at the bottom says in 10/08 I was current and DOFD was 4/06 but again on the history I was current that month. If I am correct ALL reported information must be accurate. If the info in the report and the 81 month history conflict wouldn't that be considered inaccurate? According to the history I was on time 1 month and CO the next month then on time the next.....If this is considered inaccurate should I dispute it with the CB or with Verizon first? It would be nice to get this chargeoff off my report on a technicality. I know no one truly knows how FICO scores but how many points do you think this would get me back? Just your educated guess.

Thank you in advance for your input.
The system does not require accurate reporting. No statute can legislate human accuracy. The FCRA requires that any information reported must not knowingly be inaccurate. Furnishers always have the first option to simply correct any information that they agree is inaccurate. Deletion is only required if they dont correct or verify the accuracy as reported. Requring deleltion on "technicalities" is not the thrust of the dispute process.
I dont see an assertion that the charge-off was inaccurate, so the accuracy of that information does not appear to be an issue in any dispute.
Rather, you appear to assert that the reporting of other delinquencies is necessary to complete the record.
If you choose to dispute, you have the option of either disputing directly with the furnisher of the information, or sending your dispute to the CRA, and let them administer it.
For numerous reasons, I suggest that if you pursue a dispute, you send it directly to the furnisher.
