need help with collection

i just pulled my credit report only to find a collection. RJM collection service is collecting for mystery book club. i have never been a part of any book club.  I cant call anyone( RJM is a recording saying there closed).  i thought of writing a validation letter to them but my credit reports x out the account number. i fell like i am in a corner here. Any advice would be great  thanks

Hello vanhendrix, and welcome to the forums. Please read Credit Scoring 101, if you haven't already.

Good thing that message came on. You don't want to talk to a CA over the phone. Write the DV, with the bit of information that you have. If they are able to report you to the CRAs, they have enough information to figure out who you are. If you really want to get the account information, then you can go to annualcreditreport.com and order your full reports.
