old charge off account reads open?

My DH has an old charge off account (it hasn't gone on his report as a collection we just pay there collection dept)

This has been charged off since 2004..no need settling they dont do pfd's..so we are just payng it all off slowly.

This account reads "open" on all 3 cras..is this correct ...

can a charge off account be reported as open..?

is it better if it is a closed account?

It should read CO   BUT  it looks much better as opened..........do not touch it!!!!!!!

If they change it to COd    your scores will be floatin in the toilet   it could be 30 - 60 point drop in score
