opting out = no mail?

ever since i opted out my mailbox is either empty or has only letters and paper bills i may still receive. i wasn't getting a million preapprovals so i guess soft pulls are for more than preapproval offers? interesting!!

Re: opting out = no mail?

I'm with ya mschang. When I opted opted out about 4 months ago I slowly started seeing my mail become less and less cluttered.

Side note, my friend never got any mail for pre approvals in mail - ever- , then went to dmv and started getting pre approvals every day, mainly from cap one.

Re: opting out = no mail?

DMV I am assuming is Department of Motor Vehicles. It may be different in some states but here in CA that is what we call it.

I usually call it "Hell".

And to the OP, getting less mail is a good thing.

Re: opting out = no mail?

i agree -- it's great to not have a huge pile of worthless mail everyday. i just thought it was an interesting benefit for opting out (if that truly is what it's due to -- timing is uncanny, though!)
