possible to get rid of old items?

I just got the scorewatch that they have here.  I have a few past due items from several years ago.  Is it possible to write a letter to the lender and ask if they would remove that or is it a thing where once it is there it is impossible to have removed?

There's a wealth of information here. It does take time. I suggest starting at Credit Scoring 101 as a good start.

It'll take time to learn the ropes and acronyms, but I'd pull each of your 3 CRs from this site and DV, PFD, GW where necessary to remove items prior to the 7 yr CRTP. With persistance and patience, you'll see a higher score in no time.
