question about DV CMRRR

I sent Midland credit a DV CMRRR, should I send the CRA a copy of the letter that I sent them?  I'm currently redisputing a collection that is fraudulant and I know for a fact that is not mine.  Would this help Ex  investigate the proper way if I send them a copy of the letter that I had sent Midland Credit?

Re: question about DV CMRRR

It won't make any difference. A DV doesn't prove you don't owe the debt, only that you dispute it.

Just pay close attention to your CRs. If they validate the debt after signing the CMRRR green card they just violated. Also if they DON'T mark the account as disputed with ea CRA it's reported to that's another violation. I just filed suit against Palisades for doing this to me.

Re: question about DV CMRRR

Per FCRA the MUST notify the CRAs of the account being discputed (violation if they don't).

CRAs don't care if you have DV'd - only what Oscar tells them (their verification system).

Re: question about DV CMRRR

So if Midland Credit does not notify the CRA after signing the green card, you are saying they are in violation?  What should my next step be if the CRA says it has been verified after Midland has signed for the certified mail?  I'm really confused as to what I should do next.  I can send MOV but with Ex, they do not care about MOV.  I have tried this before and even ITS, with no results.  I may have to get an attorney.

Re: question about DV CMRRR

If monitoring your credit - you will see the account go into dispaute status. I think they have 5 days to notify (sticking in my brain) - and if they don't say you are disputing they are in violation (just save the report)  do this every day to document it.

Re: question about DV CMRRR

Technically if they don't put you in disputed status or they update your CR they are in violation and you can file in small claims right then. That WILL get their attention and most likely get it removed.

When somebody sues it's totally different than when somebody just sends letters or makes complaints to the FTC, AG etc. I would be surprised if they ever tried to mess with you again for ANYTHING they might "purchase" on you once you sue them. It's like the CRAs, when you sue you aren't handled the same way or by the regular Indian CSRs anymore. I've heard you go to some special account handling group or something goofy like that. The idea being that you will not take any crap and they don't want to spend any money on you so they handle you like everybody should be handled in the first place.
