It's quite a bit off for me. CK is giving me dates on which two CLOSED cards will report (when they're not reporting at all) and says my Discover will report two days earlier than I know it will, because Discover is like clockwork. It's also completely missing some of my cards.
Also, I know that the reporting dates aren't actually the dates that the reports actually show up at the CRs. There's usually another two or three days of lag. So in my case at least I'd use the CK dates as very rough guidelines but add several days if I were going to buy a credit report or app for something, I think.
Good find, though!
Are you monitoring any of your accounts by chance? I found mine got better when I started using that service.
I can see that it would make sense for the results to get better when you link your accounts. I don't do that, not anywhere online, and I definitely won't trust CK with those linkages. In general, I just feel that linking accounts creates much larger risk from crackers and snoops. In particular, after watching CK catastrophically mangle its "upgrade" last year, I barely trust CK with anything.
Good tip, though, for somebody who's not as paranoid as me.
I've actually started like CK more and more. I've linked up some accounts and the information is super helpful. Their scores however are bollocks!
I also don't put any stock into their recommendations. Like the one that says I'll save money by switching my auto loan from my current lender at 1.74% to the new lender at 5.5%. I'm not mathematician, but even I can figure that one out.

haha, yeah, I was trying to find a reason to keep using them...

Free access to the Transunion report data albeit in a filtered format, whenever you want it updated regularly with their credit monitoring product... also free?
The only thing which sucks about CK are the scores honestly, and some of the data filtering they do, but beyond that it's a good service especially conidering the fact it doesn't cost anything.
