"Patterns" and a better way to "gauge" a street smart plan minus assumptions

Example.. the guy who said that his daughter got a $300 unsecured card and her scored jumped 10 points per month....THIS is the kind of info we need to gauge what kinds of things are most efficient and effective.

But the effect of such a card will hardly be the same for everybody because it depends on what else is in their profile.  For a young person with a thin file, adding a CC with a small limit could raise the score, but for somebody with multiple high-limit credit cards and average age of accounts well over 10 years a new card with such a small limit would probably lower the score.
